Alex Mashinsky, Founder & Managing Director

Alex Mashinsky is a recognized figure in the New York entrepreneurial scene. As the Managing Partner of Governing Dynamics, a venture capital firm, Alex founded seven companies and managed several Public company turnarounds including Tellabs and Novatel Wireless. the startups include GroundLink in 2005, Transit Wireless in 2002, Elematics in 2000, and Arbinet in 1996. Combining the unique talents of business strategist and technological innovator Alex is continuing to invent new web & communications technologies. A featured speaker at over 120 international communications conferences and TV interviews, and the author of over 50 patents relating to exchanges, VOIP, messaging and communication, Alex has received numerous awards for innovation including Entrepreneur of the Year (2010) and the prestigious 2000 Albert Einstein Technology medal and the Technology Foresight Award for Innovation

C. Willem Houck

An executive leader with international, general management, and business development expertise, both in corporate and start-up environments, he led, as Senior VP at Philips Electronics, the transformation from a product-driven to a customer-driven company and founded the first customer centric cross-divisional business unit. With a particular passion for energy saving technologies, he was an early leader of Philips' activities in energy management and launched the North American expansion of Plugwise, a designer and manufacturer of advanced energy management solutions for commercial buildings and residences.

Willem joined the founders of ParkPod as ceo. ParkPod is an Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure company that installed the first commercial level II charger in the US.

He is a founder of iValue UAB, developer of a biological pacemaker based on groudbreaking research by Columbia University Medical Center.

He is a partner at Governing Dynamics, a forward looking & pioneering early stage technology venture fund specializing in disruptive Mobile Web Services, Web Exchanges & Market Places & Communications services.

A lawyer by training, he holds a bilingual MBA from Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) in Paris and several senior executive degrees from IMD and INSEAD. A US and Dutch citizen, he lives in New York City with his wife and their daughter.

Reid Drescher

Has 25 years of experience as an Investment Manager, Investment Banker, Portfolio Manager and as President and CEO of Spencer Clarke LLC, a full service broker dealer and investment banking firm. Mr. Drescher founded Spencer Clarke in 1997 and has built it into a prestigious diversified financial organization with a respected name in the financial services industry. Reid has extensive expertise in financial engineering, private placements, reverse mergers and PIPE transactions. Prior to founding Spencer Clarke, Mr. Drescher served from 1994 to 1997 as Senior Vice President-Investments and Senior Portfolio Manager with PaineWebber Inc, and also served in the same positions with Prudential Securities from 1990 to 1994. He has profitably managed portfolios for individuals in excess of $100 Million, using both technical and fundamental analysis. Mr. Drescher is a graduate of The University of Miami with a degree in Business Administration. Mr. Drescher maintains the following FINRA registrations: Series 7, 9, 10, 24, 63 and 65 (RIA). Reid is 47, married with four children and resides in New York City. Reid is also an Executive Board and Treasurer of Cancer Schmancer, a non-profit organization dedicated to Cancer awareness

S. Daniel Leon

S. Daniel Leon is a business and social entrepreneur with a proven track record growing early stage companies and building organizations from the ground up. Sought out for his passion, his ability to think strategically, and his talent for communicating a corporate story, Daniel has co-founded 3 companies, including ekkoTV and SIVOO.

Daniel is currently the Founder and Managing Partner of The Minders Group, a boutique design and technology development firm and a partner at Governing Dynamics, a New York-based early stage venture investment firm. He also serves as the Chairman of Beyon3D an israeli based technology firm. He previously served as General Manager, Mobile, of Ground Link, a Governing Dynamics portfolio company that raised more than $30 million in funding during his tenure. Previously, Daniel served as Vice President with the Gallup Organization.

Daniel's community involvement shows the same zeal for entrepreneurism that he has demonstrated in the business world. He is a founding board member of Act for Israel—an online platform for pro-Israel, digital activism—the latest of his ventures designed to strengthen the ties between his native and adoptive countries. He also sits on the boards of Bereisheet School and the Hudson Union Society. In October 2012, Daniel was asked by the Jewish Agency for Israel to join the task force tasked with keeping Israelis living abroad connected to the Jewish State.

Daniel holds a degree in Economics from Brown University and also attended Santa Monica College where, to the surprise of no one, founded the community's first Rotary Club. Daniel has one daughter, Ella, who is the love of his life. He splits his time between New York and Tel Aviv.

Lola Scheiner

Lola is a seasoned executive with more than 20 years experience growing companies and management teams in the technology industry. Lola served in several management roles in Arbinet (ARBX) for 15 years and was part of the founding team of Comgates. Her passion for entrepreneurship and changing the world has been the driving force behind her success.
